I don’t know why. Going through all the towns and stoplights negates any mileage advantage.

Filled my car up for 2.69/gallon. Haven’t fueled at those prices in awhile.

Not sure but I signed on today to tell of my experience last night in Illinois only to find your and cdavis stories too.

So late last night I’m driving along and just chilling. No traffic or anything, car comes up on me and I get the what are you up to feeling as he slowed down a bit in the passing lane after he got past my nose. He then got in front of me and yup, brake check. Not too aggressive but still could have hit him. I saw him the whole way and had a feeling he might be up to something as his speed and flow just didn’t match a simple pass.

I let him slow up as I did to avoid him but close enough to get his plates on my camera if Safety wants to call the State police or something.

I give him the benefit of the doubt and moved to the passing lane to get him out from in front of me and yup, he came over in front of me still going slow to make sure I can’t pass him. I ride behind him a bit then I flash a turn signal to indicate I was moving back into the right lane, but wasn’t going to actually change lanes, and yup, he moves to the right again. I didn’t change lanes.

So he on more than one occasion showed his intent was to F around with a 70k CMV.

I guess he had his fun at this point and was done and went on up the road. Probably to screw with another Driver.

so ya, the moon or something.

Well this is turning into a crapper of a week. Started with my roommate not being able to find his keys (which still haven’t been found) that has the keys to his truck plus all the spare keys to my vehicles. To make matters worse, my ‘94 is refusing to start. I don’t know if the starter or ignition has crapped out. I just told my roommate to take my newer Lincoln to work. Already called a wrecker for them to tow my other car to my mechanic to see what’s wrong. Notified dispatch that I probably won’t be able to make it up to Crete today with those pallets. They don’t really have to be up there until tomorrow anyways.

In general the motoring public has no clue that many of these fleets now have cameras to catch this crap.. they’ll think I can have the truck hit my vehicle and I’ll get a new vehicle..then reality slaps them in the face when they find out they’re on camera and now have no vehicle and are screwed on getting anything out of it..

Howdy everybody. Thank you all for the warm welcome you gave me last week, I really appreciate it. Most often it takes me days to reply, please don't hold it against me. During weekends I try to stay away from my phone and internet as much as possible and be present to my son and wife. During week days I try to drive as close to the full 11 hours a day as possible and after calling it a day I often don't feel like writing much.

Right now waiting to be live loaded at Watco warehouse down in Houston, TX, and heading to Hampton, IA.

Somebody here asked where I'm from. I'm from Finland. Born and raised there and moved to Texas 5 years ago. The FCC drivers here may have seen my "interview" on the back of the latest FCC newsletter. I have to correct that though, I never claimed my family is 100% Texan. In my original answer to their question about my family I humorously mentioned that my son, who's born here in Texas, is 50% Finnish, 50% Mexican, and 100% Texan. I love America and feel very much at home here, though.

Got emptied out in Mansfield, TX. Then ran over to Midlothian, TX with the low fuel and low DEF lights on. After some fun on the phone getting the fuel card temporarily turned on crammed every drop that would fit into the tanks. Ran over to Dallas and picked up a load going to a Wal Mart DC, but they don’t want it until the 9th, so they’re going to have me drop it in KC and pick up a preloaded trailer going to Hastings. After that I’ll be picking up something to bring back to Fremont Wednesday along with hopefully getting the Geotab class knocked out, checking the truck into the Fremont spa for a little R&R (remove and replace), and getting a fuel card. Not sure what they’ll have me doing to stay busy between that and the safety banquet.

If they're still using the same cameras then they won't be able to read license plate anyway. At least that's what they told me when that jackwad clipped me going into the construction zone south of OKC three years ago.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and Oxbow Thank this.
