Those phones you can take the battery out of and can't be tracked. The government can even turn a out service phone if the battery still has some charge in it.

 

This isn’t about the government though. I couldn’t care less if they hear me rip one in the grocery store. It’s about load brokers with questionable practices. Sort of like how K&B demands that you put their app on your phone before you step foot in one of their trucks…

 

Plus why would they need to require us to download some app since we’re already constantly tracked by our phones in the first place?

 

It's just an observation. Do like I do givm write down the company phone number. Or tell them no company already has tracking and I don't trust you.

 

I told a shipper one yes but I want $500 for using my phone they said your crazy I yes I am now pay in advance or no usage.

 

Just talked with Mike about the whole truck trading in situation and it looks like I’ll be in this truck for awhile. He told me that there’s 11 drivers with trucks above 490k that he has to pull but they have been having a hard time getting trucks ready. There was a boatload of new trucks sitting on the yard the last time I was in Fremont but it sounds like the shop has been struggling to get said trucks ready.

The drivers who have to utilize translation apps are bad enough (I’ve been stuck behind two of them the last few days). But a broker who had little command of the language would be even more exasperating.

 

Dropping at Nestle in Pasadena, TX, and then picking up in America Plant Food in Galena Park in the morning. Does either place have overnight parking? If not I’ll have to see what I can come up with at 8 pm in the Houston area
