My first ex wife used to make it without softening the noodles first. Turned out real good. All the boys loved it (and her).

A few of the west coast guys at the barn have them, my last trip west one was showing me the inside, RV passenger side door, queen bed folds up into a table/ kitchenet, wet bath with a big generator and roof top ac/heat, if I had to average 20 days a month in the truck I would absolutely have one, but I spend 6-8 days a month in the truck so if I ever do more then a 10 in the bunk I just get a hotel

One of the bad things is how water intensive it is. It takes a lot to cook the stuff, and it takes a lot to clean up. Which actually brings me to something more on topic. Unless you are constantly going home, you will want to sort out how you get your fresh water.

Yeah - so that was one thing I was about to bring up.

"Abundant hot water and fresh water " - nope. You've got 40 gallons, fresh and a 6 gallon hot water tank. "Ye shall taketh the minimum amount of time in the shower" - (the previous owner sold it to me as "Taking an army shower" - sounded pretty commando cool to me ).

In cold weather - the truck stops generally shut off their outside faucets for freeze reasons.

A lot of rest areas shut down their RV dump stations, so that 8 gallon turd bucket needs to be drained, rinsed and repeated somehow - probably better off in warmer climates.

Oh man - lasagna (store bought noodles) and garlic bread with parmesan butter (still all store bought, but hand assembled in the USA) is about ready to be served.

    I needed to say this.

I have a house. I like it. I do not want to spend every waking or sleeping moment in a 10 foot long - or 14 foot long, by 9 foot wide, RV. Whether it makes money or not.

It's nice having the basic amenities, but it's also a constant maintenance issue. Stuff to tend to.

If I could find a gig close to home, that had me home - that pays what I'm used to - I'd trade you a decent flat glass day cab for the truck.

If the RV lifestyle and camping appeals to you, and you can accommodate a large car into the mix - it's loads of fun I'm sure.

I wouldn't drop a bunch of $$ on one, even though I have one.

I can get about 3 showers max out of a tank - between washing dishes and cleaning hands. I recycle the water as much as possible.

It does teach frugality in a hurry.
