    Negative.

Just called former student that is there/ has been there 6+ yrs. (He does not train).

Said he saw training classes going on in Salt Lake when there last month. If Salt Lake operative, Springfield & Pittston has to be, too.

Edit:Forgot to quote you @Chinatown. Got some things going on right now...

There used to be school that put you up at the ritz carlton with room service and champaign plus limo service from anywhere to the school. But I think they went out of business. They were on Sunset Blvd in Beverly Hills. (Gawd, I crack myself up !)

Schneider has a CAT program that does all of that, but you have to live in an area where it’s available. I don’t think it’s an option in California. Of course, it requires that you then spend a certain obligated time period driving for Schneider. At their pay, it’s not worth it…

Unless it has recently changed -- that above-referenced obligatory service period is 9 months -- arguably one of the shortest in the industry.

    Not worth it?....

    Mmmmm...that all depends.

I have found that the Schneider name in one's background does command a certain amount of respect.

Despite their flaws & quirks, you could indeed do worse -- a lot worse.

Little bit of Schneider kool-aid there. If you stick it out at ANY megacarrier a year or more without incidents, prospective employers will notice. Schneider, Swift, Prime…all the same ####.
