I bet it would be especially fun taking it thru that construction zone before the Indian John rest area.

Had another convo with our Veep last Friday about this new pay package. Apparently I missed something in the email they send out. The pay doesn't max out at .65/mile. It starts at .65 and goes up to .69/mi. And since I have been here over a year, I start at .66 and get credit for the miles since my 1 yr anniversary and at 100k I go up another penny. Still not gonna make more but it'll be somewhat closer to what I was making on the daily rate plan they're doing away with.

We she’s not at big as promised. Still 16’6” wide, just enough to push into superload requirements almost everywhere.

rolled into Rufus, or around 0230 and parked until 0930. Almost kept going because traffic was almost nonexistent, but I knew I could get parking and breakfast here. IMG_6284.jpeg IMG_6283.jpeg

the tarp started out with no holes, it now has two. God ######. IMG_6285.jpeg

Since hearing about our payroll change, I haven't been the most enthusiastic about running my butt off. In fact, I think I have only had 1 or 2 600 mile days since leaving home before Thanksgiving. Yesterday I was 550, and today, instead of going to the delivery customer and parking, I stopped at the Love's on 78 in PA and watched the parking lot follies. I checked with Toledo and she said there isn't anything set yet and will likely be a Thursday pickup so I am done for the day.

I forget what are your motors set at for HP and torque? How does your truck pull with a load that wide? Makes my 14’1” tall load seem punny lol.

    Friend and Oxbow Thank this.

Well a PACCAR set at 500hp and 1850 lbs torque is preferred vs the base lol but yes I do miss my Cummins too.

You can bet that Wylie wouldn't allow us to have big boy motors, most likely the base motor.

Mine and the 4 sister trucks are set at 510/1850. I believe the rest of the fleet is at 450.

I’d say the paccar pulls just as well as the cummins, is way quieter, and gets much better MPG. At least a point better on most loads.

dwells40, Oxbow and Winnyf1 Thank this.
