Trlr missing piece of landing gear. Told me to drop it before fix

Throw a rock or board under it if you're worried. The missing part is called the shoe. If it's empty, it ain't going nowhere. It ain't falling over, but on hot asphalt, it would likely fall through

 

Looks like concrete, not going anywhere.

 

Board or something, just helps disperse weight from one little spot.
May check tires, had the bolt break and lost the platform once, blew out both tires that ran over it.

 

You lost a shoe? I could see that coming through a 4 wheelers windshield. Should always check the bolt that secures the shoe to the leg. If empty, don't worry about it tipping over, but loaded, I'd shore it up with some wood.

 

Bound to happen when they get hammered from dropping down trailer weight on them when they are still a few inches off the ground.

 

Hammered shoes on an old ‘99 Wabash Swift trailer we use for storage. Had to “replace” the rh shoe with some scrap metal laying around. Lh leg has broke through the shoe. Lol.

 

It happens, you haul trailers long enough your going to run into bad shoes occasionally especially on older or high milage units. Best bet is drop it on concrete or if your really really worried throw a 2x4 under there as others have suggested. Otherwise long as your empty it will be fine.

 

More to do with yard jockeys draaaggiiinngggggg them across the ground.

 

A thin block of wood or steel plate would of worked. But who has one spare when their dropping a trailer?
