Pilot adding Southern Tire Marts

Pilot sold thier truck care centers to southern tire mart

 

If I am not mistaken, they've added one to the Pilot just south of Macon, GA(Byron)...and that place was a crowded nightmare before they took out parking spots

 

And at the Pilot in Albany......2 locations for your convenience.

 

I can appreciate Pilot adding Southern Tire Marts to their locations but not at the expense of eliminating valuable parking spots. Most Flying J locations can handle a loss of spaces but not most Pilots. If they have to eliminate the spaces why not buy adjacent land or build them close to their existing locations.

 

Because pfj mgt dont guve a #### about drivers..hand your $$ over snd get out.. thats their attitude

 

before overpaying at one of these new southern tire or any other place .... check out "the gold program" its a wex/efs/fleetone affiliated thing. Good discount on tires. Simple set up. Simple call to get a PO. They pay tire store, then charge your card whenever they get hit with the PO from provider, so you may get days/weeks b4 charge hits. Only discount on tires that I know of, nothing on service.

 

Yep. I asked the manager about this at the STM I was at Wednesday and he said they own KLLM, GCR Tire Centers, Blue Beacon, and 1 other trucking co. I can't remember.

 

I was trying to quote this man.

 

I just bought (2) Bridgestone R268 Steer tires. STM gave me a printed quote for $2085. $805/Tire. With my National Acct. discount I have through my fuel card it was $1300 Total. $500/Tire. You are right, I didn't pay anything to the shop.
