Last old truck i drove with the 3 was an 80 Freightliner FLC just like this, but white in color.
One i drove had round headlights, not those square ones in this.

 

Seems a bit redundant. I'm not understanding the point.

 

It was back when you set brakes it exhausted all air from trailer and brakes released instead of set when air is exhausted.
