    The Judge, had another situation.
Had to unhook KW, gonna park it, Paccar mobile back with fng, was gonna hook cascadia back to the trailer i’m going to sale next month.
KW has the ‘crab pincher’ type locking fifth wheel, it fired right up, though it’s been a bit, sat through all these cold days/nights, backed it up a bit pulled pin, went to move it, first thought brakes froze.

Nope, though pin was out, it didn’t move a bit to unlock.
Pulled, hammered release in, pulled out again, still locked.

So, the judge thought, hmm, hasn’t been moved maybe kingpin kinda froze to locking jaws.
We’ll drive it around the lot, try again.
    Nope.
Big freakin hammer and pry bar, nope.
So after getting metal shaving through gloves into a cold finger, the Judge stepped back a minute.

(took that long to get that lil *delete expletive* out of fingertip.)

So, it may not be… Safe, or in any book but it worked.
Pulled pin out, leaving legs up and lines hooked, we got in truck, rolled down the window.
    Reverse here we go!
Backed up about 30-35’ not Flooring it, easing back, and every 7-8’ pull hand valve and letting it rock and stop, it finally released.
(you can hear it and stop immediately or you’ll drop it from said fifth wheel)
“Judge, did you rehook and drive it back to drop it?”

    “No!!”
Dropped the thing right there, drove it to cascadia now sitting warming up.
But at least it’s on my property and maybe give someone more ideas when hammering and pulling and tugging on release laying on cold ground under truck and save getting dirt/grease/snow/ice all over you.

Long story, but hey, what else have we got to do today?
