Where can I go?

Their team trucks run 78 -75 just depends on who set it up? IDK. They are Pete Ultralofts but a little rough for sleeping. I always had a difficult time getting sleep. I enjoyed working for them but it was like - go go go! And I couldn't take it after a couple of years.

 

I heard they used to go that fast. But i did a road test with them about 2yrs ago and they were governed at 72-73mph.. maybe some hubs go faster but kennesaw, ga only went 72-73..

Yeah i hear they keep you moving at rl carriers not a bad thing but it does catch up with you.. most people think they want 6k miles a week until you get it and you get burned out and wish you only had 4500-5000 a week.. lol

 

They offered me the job on the spot it wasn't even an interview it went straight into job details and basically they will send me a offer letter in my emai. Then we will proceed forward once i fi it out with drug test and physical, then road test the same day then 2-3 day orientation then get to work basically. The easiest interview i ever had if you want to call it an interview lol but i ain't complaining im excited amazing opportunity for me..

Also ill start at 82cpm max out after 2yrs the standard in ltl seems this step ladder pay format im cool no complaints. Also only 20% fleet is automatic so most likely ill get a 10spd which again no complaints because ive never gotten to drive a 10spd only when i took my driving test 5yrs ago so im a little nervous but they said they will basically give me a refresher course which is very awesome of them too do that.

I will be running out of conley, ga basically Atlanta.. team driving position. Took my drug test today. Waiting for my physical and drive test to get scheduled. They are in the process of running my background right now could take a week or two..

Do you work for OD? if so where at?

Also how do you feel about this new speed limiter law fmcsa is going to pass in may or june this year? They are talking about governed all trucks at as low as 60mph or as high as 70mph speeds. If its 70mph it's for automatic trucks and if its manual it will be 65mph. This is going to mess with all of us being able to get miles and make more money. Not happy about all these regulations..

 

I knew a guy who worked at the OD Terminal just North of Houston Texas. He liked it there, tried to convert me to doubles many times....

 

It's not gonna pass. That'll be the death of produce runners, meat, & cattle haulers.

 

I was thinking the samething. Also Corporation, companies, stores wont get they products on time. It will take longer to deliver and we would have to work almost twice as many hours to make 100k plus a year. I think they trying to get drivers to quit so they can push autonomous trucks and save money from not having to pay drivers as well as save on fuel as well as get rid of the competition the owner ops who can go as fast as they want because owner ops can deliver products faster then us governed folk can..

They been trying to push this since 2016 luckily we had trump to prevent that. But seems Republicans have kept this bill unable to pass thus far i hope and assume they will keep fighting back.

 

I don't see how it will work in the first place. Look at California for example. It's far too frustrating to work there.

 

Im from California lived there my whole life so i know all about California its a #### hole.. traffic is horrible. Its so congested. Im so glad i live in the south now.
