Worked for Boyle Transportation out of Billerica, MA teaming some years ago & it is still to this day the best employer/job I have ever had.

I heard they got sold to Skelton, not sure about nowadays.

Wow i almost worked for boyle they pay great but they didnt have a place for me to park the truck on hometime. But at the time they had like a 1700-1800$ guarantee pay this was over 5yrs ago. I did hear drivers where happy there back in the day that is..

The pay for amount of work/stress was excellent, & the guarantee pay was way lower when I was there - like 1450-1550 or something, but Sunday pay was always extra on top of guarantee.

I didn't care for running hard anymore so they were the perfect fit - weeks usually averaged around 4000miles with a day or two a week in hotel if we wanted to get out of truck.

Lots of recurring pharma customers & routes with occasional unique DoD stuff thrown in - some teams were more dedicated on the DoD stuff because of their higher clearances, experience & where they lived.

Coworkers were a lot of long time 'retirees,' friendly, professional, office staff that knew how to get things done, very well maintained equipment.

Did my very first flatbed load with them, intimidating at first but quickly turned into something I looked forward to on an irregular basis for something different.

They started to get some less qualified people towards the end of our stay there that were tearing up equipment & acting pretty unprofessional on some occasions we witnessed, but overall, I loved it.

Hardest part for me was learning their paper payroll system that I couldn't wrap my mind around for a while for some reason

    catdog45 Thanks this.

I’m linehaul out of Oxnard, CA. I don’t give a crap about speed limiters because “linehaul” at most of the LA area terminals is really just shuttles, and it’s hourly. Slow me down? Go for it.

Well i mean as long as they keep the speed limiters at 65-70mph i wont slow my miles per week i can drive down but it will create more hazards and back ups.. but im in no way shape or form for it at all completely against it. The speed limiters are the posted speed signs thats what the hwy patrol is paid to enforce.

My background check is clear i guess have to wait for old dominion to look over it now i suppose. So im guessing they should call me sometime this week to schedule a orientation date. Im excited to work for old dominion cant wait..

Just about a year now. Easiest job I’ve ever had. Oxnard is a dark terminal, so most of my night no one is there. We’re all managed out of Rialto, and I’ve never once been asked where I was, or how long it’s going to take. I get re-routed on my second run every now and then, but not out of the way or anything crazy like that.
All that said, I wouldn’t switch to P&D to save my life. There seems to be more micromanaging on that end.

I don’t know a lot about teams other than they get paid. I have no idea what the schedule or mileage expectations are. There’s some Atlanta guys in and out of Rialto a lot.

Yeah i hear the teams make great money. He said that i would be going to the west coast quite often and keep me 40fwy and below as often as possible. They said they try to keep us out the north, northwest and northeast as often as possible. Not saying ill never go to those areas but they try to keep the southeast teams out of those areas so they keep us moving the terminal manager said.. yeah i think ill enjoy working here. Just hope i get a great team mate is all. Ill keep you updated on how this journey goes im excited.. i know as of now teams top pay is .90cpm before this years raise so when i top out in 2yrs im sure ill be at .94-.96cpm plus. There's a lot of money too be made at old dominion seems like ..
