Not to sound like the typical know-it-all, but this is categorically untrue. As I said, my previous company held the Mayflower and United contracts for our region. We also had industrial contracts with Raytheon, Lockheed-Martin, and Northrop-Grumman as far as defense contractors, and Google. For the defense jobs it could only be back ground checked staff, and that was maybe half of us. Not true for Google, and DEFINITELY not true for household, and we did very high value household moves. Also, NEVER were lumpers background checked by our company. There are lumper (or casual help) services who require that of their own employees, and advertise as such, but they’re more expensive, so the cost is up to the customer. Most declined that. You can argue with me if you want, but I did it, I was there.

Seems like there should be a SAP Thread on this Forum some where! I haven't done any more research at all about SAP but I do wish all you drivers well. The clearing house, Federal laws about cannabis, and the trucking industry are just one big joke honestly. I do like coming on here and helping drivers out with info on all the sub forums but I'm so glad I washed my hands with Trucking. It was a good step to make quick money for the goals I wanted to obtain but with that being said it was nice to leave it and put the CDL on the back burner with all the BS in the industry!! If I get board maybe ill phone around again. until then stay SAFE!

You say held the Mayflower and United contract were they agents for them or a 3rd party? As of about 4 years ago all labor had to be background checked if you were caught using labor that was not you could be disqualified from the van line and yes Unigroup dose not hire felons.Chinatown Thanks this.

You are right that there are disqualifying felonies, but it’s not all encompassing. Possession, traffic (in the case of a non-driver), even DV aren’t going to necessarily disqualify someone from the moving business.
