JB Hunt the worst? I'm the senior driver on my account and I get paid handsomely to deliver 1000 to 8000 lbs of worthless freight each week. Haven't had to scale in over 5 years. Just got my third new truck fresh from the dealer back in October (2024 International).
Schneider's micromanaging drove me away, but they aren't the worst.
*insert laugh emoji* I've spoken to plenty Swift drivers over the years. My brother's wife got her first few months in with them and had horrible things to say about them. They all treat new drivers the same. Who's really gonna give the new equipment to the newbies?

She is in a great position, lu. She'll basically be a free agent with no contractual obligations to fulfill. She'll be able to try a company and walk away if she doesn't like it.
Both are better flavors than CRST

Truthfully -- I think she would do fine at either Swift or Werner.....

If I survived and did ok from Schneider --then I think she should end up ok after Werner.

It's the team driving idea I'm much more concerned with.

And with someone she doesn't know well.

A bit of advice, focus on getting past the road test FIRST, and put all the other stuff on the side because you will have it in the back of your head which may cause you to fail the test.

Employment and all the other crap is not important right now so stop reading the thread and prepare for the road test.

Also, make sure you are really good at the pre-trip portion.

As far as team driving is concerned, well, you are really taking a chance. Personally, I hated doing it; I just don't sleep well in a moving truck. At least the person(s) I drove with were trainers, so I never had to worry about them going 'ditch-diving' while I was in the berth, and neither of them had offensive sanitary issues, either.

One of my trainers shat in the truck
She won't know the trainer they'll assign her, but she'll be required to partner/team with him/her for 30 days. Whether she teams with a newbie or an experienced person, as long as they make sure that they aren't attempting to drive while fatigue, she'll wake up unscathed. Though majority of my experience is solo, I'd never been in a situation where I woke up dead because of a team driver. I do understand why someone would be reluctant to do it though.

I talked to a swifty while loading.
He seemed happy, was making money and only 6 months experience.

only mega company driver job i had was Schneider bulk division.
Did good for 11 months, 12th month sucked when i got a different driver manager(dbl) some kid of about 20-21 who knew everything and i couldn’t get along with.
I asked for new dbl, they said “He’s new, he’ll learn, give him time.”
    I quit.
