Unsure if it's just dry van/reefer side or just Oakley. But I currently don't see myself being here that much longer.

I swear they don't really plan any loads for after a delivery when heading to hometime. Like I was asked if was willing to do a 3 stop load. Can't get any info until they take it. Then told to head to NJ without load info.

My last hometime they had me deadhead home all the way from Maryland. Don't know if was even paid for all of that

So I learned something about Oakley today I was never told about. Your required to wait until 6 months of employment to switch divisions. I asked about trying tanker again and was told that. They claimed I was told that. Which I never was. Am currently debating if should stay or not. Because being out 3 weeks at a time for dry van isn't great. Especially since I got tanker, hazmat, twic and passport

Anecdotally I have heard that Oakley brings on a lot of people to work in divisions that are not well liked with the promise that those drivers will eventually get to move to a more sought after position. I talked to Oakley last Summer about getting into their OTR tanker division and they offered to let me drive in their reefer or citrus division to begin with and then at some point I could move to tanker or something else I wanted. When I found out how much people dislike working for them doing reefer or citrus work I just skipped them.

What I don't really like the most. Is delivery/pickup times. When I drove for Hartt now Bison doing dry van for 4 and a half years. All appointment times was usually before noon. Oakley seems to just grab whatever. Like I got one tomorrow around 8pm. In a message today I was told everyone gets these delivery times. Like I know reefer might deliver that late. But it's a dry van load of bottles water....

Am tempted to give prime a chance. To do tanker. But unsure since mega. Last time I spoke to someone there. Was told they don't train tanker. Unless it's just where I live. Most of the stuff I already understand thanks to Oakley. Though Oakley seems to not count my time at Southern Pines hauling cryo as tanker experience.....

I originally was going to do that. Then chosen to go dry van because was having a little bit of trouble with fittings.

Also Oakley doesn't count me having tanker experience. Because of a pay rate form I filled out....
