    Ok, I get it.

I’m not suggesting making everyone use the same tech. Just asking what apps might benefit others IF they want to take advantage of the larger screen in the truck.

I’d say if there’s going to be a weather app then it would also be worth putting the Windy app on too.

Truckers Path is a good app. Certainly helps finding parking at night for me.

I have CoPilot on my Tech but it doesn’t do some things that my RM GPS does that I just can’t live without. So I keep it updated as a backup just in case my RM takes a dump on me.

Shows the current and forecasted wind speeds as well as direction of the wind. The forecast can go out a couple days on the free version.

Could be handy. I think my weather radar app has a wind layer but only does directions not intensity. I’ll go grab it and take a look. Thanks.

So recap for the last few days:

Got to a new Quiktrip south of Loveland sunday afternoon and delivered to that DC the next morning. Bobtailed to Kit Carson to pick up a trailer that a driver had left because he had a medical emergency and went to the hospital. Found out the trailer had one of our company locks on it. I didn’t have a key because i never use or have need for that lock or the kingpin lock, so i never bothered to move it into this spare truck. Ended up meeting a driver back in Aurora to get it unlocked. Unloaded that this morning and ran over to Nestle to pick up water going to North Platte. Dropped that and after a couple of load switcheroos, they had me go to Kawasaki to pick up a load going to Savannah that I was to drop at Council Bluffs. I got to Lincoln, dropped my empty, then proceeded to drive around their lot for 20 minutes looking for a trailer that wasn’t there because i’m a ####### and read a trailer on the wrong load info (yea..i’m still mad about that). Because of that snafu, I wasn’t able to make it to CB before my 14 ran out so I threw in the towel at the Lincoln drop yard. Gonna drop this tomorrow, grab a trailer off the yard headed for Texas, then head home for 4 days.

Anyways i’ve been up since 4 am mountain time, so i’m gonna hit the sack

I think we need to ask FCC to kit out the spare trucks with the basics.

    Broom, locks, microwave, etc

Then when we are asked to drive a loaner for a bit, it already has the basics preloaded and we don’t feel the need to move everything that we use on a daily basis (broom, microwave) or those things like locks that we probably won’t use so don’t think to grab them.

Just a thought. What would other drivers like to see added to the loaners so we don’t need to “move everything” for a few weeks.

    Or not worth the hassle?

Picked up a trailer in Omaha at the FCC warehouse, first time there since they opened that place. The trailer
Is 90 days past due, so getting that serviced in CB, and managed to get James to squeeze me in for a service.

The load I picked up is going to Henry, TN. (Basically BFE) for a Friday morning delivery.

contrary to what the load info says, there is overnight parking there. It’s a dirt lot just past the scale house there
