    Speaking of Vietnam….

Do you guys know the history behind the 21ft “rule?” It started in Nam. If some ambushes you from 21 feet, odds are 80% success in their favor if you go defensive, 50% if you flee, but 80% in your favor if you go offensive and charge at them.

Home. Truck cleaned, bunk remade. Do the laundry and figure out what I am going to cook for next week.

    But maybe a nap first.

    ‐---------------
Nap taken, laundry done, Salisbury steaks with sides in the plate and sealed up. Dessert will be done in a bit. Time to relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I have tried and have a few sets. Big, little. They are ok. Idea is the big ice melts slower so it dilutes your drink slower. I don't like water in my Whiskey/Bourbon. But I like it chilled. Look for some stone cubes. You freeze them and use in place of ice. They chill it and don't melt. Just rinse and toss back in the freezer.

Not usually. Straight on the rocks is good, I don’t mind a little water. I stopped drinking soda years ago.

Missouri State Highway Patrol - Crash Reports Validation

This poor guy will be having the worst Fathers Day ever, I can't begin to understand the pain he's in right now.

I linked the MSHP record - the local news is useless.

What I can't understand is how it happened - I've never been able to knock my transmission in gear from neutral with the truck running. Maybe others can make sense of it.

Talked with the local fire Dept's chief wife, said Josh got the job of hazmat cleanup in the driveway. Haven't talked to Josh yet.

1997 Pete, mine is a 1995, assume starter button is on the right side of column, maybe it was in gear and he reached in and bumped the starter from drivers step.

Just a word of warning, keep your young ones safe around machinery.

All that was disclosed was there was a guy that had come out to look at buying the truck. Terrible scene all round. 30 year old father.

Even then there is no way the starter would overpower the park brake. My stupid 15 year old self tried to start my dad's truck once and didn't realize I had parked it in gear. Only managed to torque up the driveline a bit.
