What help is out there for truckers that are broke down?
My husband is an independent trucker. The truck he barely had for two weeks broke down. They are going to replace the engine. Right now he has nowhere to stay, while they fix it. Any resources out there for hotels and food? I feel so bad for him, he finally got a beautiful truck and well....

Lite bug and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

It sucks as a O/o to be broken down. However, as a Owner Operator (Business owner) you should have established an emergency account for in case something like this happens. A reserve of a reserve of a reserve. You can "Never" have too many money reserves in hard times!

Went into this business venture with no money in the bank to backup for unexpected expenses. Can't even afford a ticket on the Grey Dog.

He doesn’t have a business credit line to run expenses like repairs and lodging? Don’t take it negatively but sounds like he jumped his feet into the cold water without dipping his toes in.
