The ones that aren't here anymore were the ones that really gave a #### about the drivers. I get the feeling those that remain are just saying they care, but do what they're told just to keep their jobs.

As far as Boeing freight, or contract freight in general, contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on. When I was at Moore, they lost a lot of glass lanes mid-contract to Maverick because they wouldn't drop their rates. The last time I spoke to some of the local drivers in Arlington, we're about to lose Boeing, or at least a big chunk of their business, for the same reason. Since that door plug blowout issue, along with all the other bad publicity issues, it seems as though their business has stagnated. I would have to look at my load notebook, but I don't think I have hauled a Boeing or TMX load in months. I do more broker loads than Boeing.

Sam-crappa update....all these software updates have NOT fixed the location issue. I had to reboot this morning because 5 of the last 7 entries showed the same location. After the reboot, everything corrected itself.

Driver, you just came off of the first home time you’ve taken in a couple of months. If your job is so horrible why didn’t you just clean your truck out when there, get a load to wherever you can turn it in and move on to something else?

Cry me a river. I’m an independent and I am guessing my gross revenue is down 35% year over year. Everyone is hurting. Big and small alike.

You're comparing apples to oranges. As an independent your pay is based on freight rates, and that's the risk you take being your own boss. When business is booming, you're making better money to offset times like these. I am a company driver who's pay isn't based on freight rates. That's one advantage of being a company driver. As a company driver, as long as I am turning consistent miles, I should be making approximately the same pay...I am turning pretty much the same miles as last year, but my gross pay will be 7-8% less this year compared to last year all because they changed the pay package (and proclaimed I would be making more on this new pay deal). To be honest, I am making right around the same pay here as I was 6 years ago working for Moore. But part of my rant also pertains to the timing of their changes which only exaggerates how much their changes affect my pay.

You missed my point spd is trying to save money where they can. I assume you have been at this long enough to have seen it before. In lean times you run cheaper or run less. Sometimes a combination of both.

It sucks for sure, but that’s truck driving. I doubt very seriously you are going to quit and find a better OTR position. So you may as well just plan on riding out the storm.

In 31 years I have never worked for a company that made me work as hard or harder for less money. Right now I am doing just that. 2024's average flatbed freight rates are nearly the same, or maybe a few cents per mile higher than 2023's rates...fuel prices are lower than this time last year, so their revenue should be as good or a little higher. Cutting driver's pay by this much means they are either squandering their money, or are trying to convince everyone they're losing money to justify cutting driver's pay.

2023 wasn’t a banner year and you said yourself you are taking more broker freight. Which means they have less direct freight moving. Which means lower rates. But, there is no point in arguing with you.

How about a ##### that I agree with SSB on? Bojangles that only serve chicken strips in various forms. They are like a low rent Zaxby’s. It ought to say Fauxjangles on the sign out front.

This bojangles at the loves i20 exit 205 in Alabama still have real fried chicken.
