I am sitting at a planet fitness waiting for my kids and I am watching a USA Truck driver pull into the parking lot and realizing that either is is in the wrong place to deliver or he can’t park anywhere, so this location is tight and full of idiots and it is not the best place to park. Maybe he is going to dollar tree which is at the other end of the complex, but nevertheless, this is the forth time I have seen this happen here, and as you pull in, you have a clear view of everything, so you new drivers need to look beyond the front of the truck, I know many of you won’t or can’t but you will stay out of trouble that way.
Look beyond the front of the truck

USA TRUCK
Embarrassing the driving
profession for over 45 years!! -
Also, tip for you new drivers who aren't aware of this move. You realize you need to turn around but there's no huge parking lot around to do a U-turn? Just do a left turn on next street, straighten out - then back up across the road you just turned off of then turn left back onto that road and you've just completed a U-turn. But ALWAYS make darn sure there is NO traffic coming either way before you back across a road!! A second person here to spot for you helps (one time I paid a bicyclist $5 to watch for traffic so I could do this) but remember though, EVEN IF you have somebody telling or signaling you that it's ok to back up -- IF you hit something or EVEN IF somebody runs into you -- when you're in reverse -- no matter what, you'll ALWAYS be at fault!! But this move might save you from having to drive several unnecessarily miles out of the way to find a place to turn around, or might save you that extra time to do this if you're really squeezed for time.. just a tip to store in your library of things you can possibly do.. But it's VERY TRICKY to do this if you're in Chicago rush hour street traffic at a huge stop light intersection to use the traffic light to stop traffic for you so you can back across that street (they don't always obey their red lights there) AND if a cop happens to come across you while doing this it could go either way, they might help you out and stop traffic for you, OR they may just sit in their car and watch you doing this and then when you get turned around pop their lights on and write you a ticket! And I'm not even gonna give you any ideas about IF you find you need to go down an alley to get there but the alley is only half as wide as your rig, how to get it up on it's side (on 9 wheels) so you can drive thru that Alley like a stunt driver would! Leave that to the dukes of hazzard boys! LoL
