I know we all hate blindside backing. I only do it if there is absolutely no other option. Thought I'd share a tip I use. I have a 2021 freightliner cascadia.
When prepping your back look into your sleeper. Remove the passenger side cover off your sleeper window. You can somewhat see your trailer out that window while backing.
But of course GOAL is and always will be the best and obvious tip!

I think getting out to look is more innovative.
gentleroger, tscottme and TX2Day Thank this. -
Rotating your right-side mirror would accomplish all of that as well....

I use my passenger side bunk window for that all the time. It’s handy as all get out. Faster than waiting for your mirror to rotate back to where you need it.

I use the trolley brake, step over to the window and take a look then adjust accordingly.
dboot01 Thanks this. -
dang, never had a truck with a lower window in the sleeper, always the little upper ones
dboot01 Thanks this. -
I always use the passenger side hood mirror to blind side being I have it always adjusted to see everything out wide anyway but you gotta have real good depth perception though to use it blind siding. I know not everyone has the hood mirrors though but just my two cents on what I do besides getting out to look.
dboot01 Thanks this. -
the mirror on back rhs sun visor works too, drop visor and it’ll give you a view towards back of trailer when you lose it in mirror, they way mine are set
mitrucker, dboot01, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this. -
