Company Called DOT on Me- If I pay citation am I admitting guilt?

    So, I am correct and and you were purposely being a prick. And dispatch was correct to call the cops. You got fired, didn’t you? And a citation to show on your next job application. Dispatch really got you good. Do you think that new dispatcher was more capable and adaptable than you?

    I hope he’s capable of adapting to a drive through headset. Should be second nature because I bet a dollar to a doughnut he’s one of the ones that wears his headset everywhere he goes.

    No, it's not the truth.

    The truth is you didn't look at your log before you started. You didn't notice you were in 'negative time' before you started your day and I doubt you went 'on duty' for your pretrip either. You then ignored frantic communication from Ops.

    In short, you walked tallywaker first into a fan.

    I like the ones we have that stare at their phones while walking across the yard. I guess they need their GPS to find their way from their truck to the breakroom to punch out. :rolleyes:

    I'm not even sure that where the terminal is is the requirement. I'm under the impression that it must be under 150 air miles from where you start and you finish where you started. I live in Chicago and frequently I'll get home on a Wednesday or Thursday evening with several deliveries maybe in Schaumburg and often as far as Rockford or Milwaukee. I go home at night and go out the next day then come back home that day. I log it as "local work". I've not been called out by my carrier for doing it wrong. We don't have a terminal here.

    If you were capable, you would have checked your logs and fixed them before you started driving. And after six years of driving, you would have at least some understanding that the 150 mile rule didn't apply to your situation.

    If you were adaptable, you wouldn't have had 30 (or is it 31 now?) jobs in six years.

    I'd rather know his name so I could warn the recruiters at my company so he doesn't end up here for a month. I'm pretty sure they would figure it out on their own, though, and not offer him a job. Maybe they already have.
