Looking at an international with a dt570. Seems to have no issues. Guy is selling it and I need another truck. I’m handy with a wrench and I have service max. I’m only familiar with older DT. I know this is completely different. Do you havepointers or what I need to look out for on these?
Teach me about the DT570!!

It has keepers that hold the roller lifters from spinning. Well they have a design flaw, and if one them break, allows the lifters to turn sideways and chew the cam. Here's the fun part!
These are not motors that you can in frame. You have to remove the cam bearings two from the front, then the other two have to go out the back , which requires the removal of the bellhouse. It was more time efficient to get a complete long block and install it. -

BoxCarKidd and hatchhero Thank this.

I got the seller to send me a video of it starting up. Tell me what u think -
It runs. That's all that video is telling you. Like any other engine it could blow up 3 miles down the road or it could blow up 300,000 miles down the road.
