Forgot to mention, they did pull me off the load going to Mt Juliet, they have me running from Aurora out to Victorville instead .That’s a nice change of pace. I was starting to worry that I had been changed over to Midwest and East Coast only.

this is why i’m a company driver. If my truck breaks it’s their problem to fix, not mine, and i get paid for it. A little bit more freedom isn’t worth all the extra stress and bs

You have a few O/O success stories working there. BigR and Runningman both bought their leased equipment and became reasonably successful. But far more can’t manage their $ and are broke and bankrupt in two years.

Where people get into trouble is when they start mixing truck money and house money. There’s not really any reason to freak out over every little instance of downtime unless your truck money is supporting more of your lifestyle than it should.

I have this little diddlybopper that i got at the little Verizon shop inside the Kingman Petro (i’m already a Verizon customer). It’s honestly been a game changer since i got it. It includes 100 gb of premium data per month which is a lot more than the hotspot on my phone, and it’s also a lot faster than going through my phones hotspot. It also tends to be better at picking up distant signals than my phone, probably because i place it higher in the cab. It’s well worth the $40/month i’m paying IMG_3883.jpeg

Agree. Definitely Pros & Cons and I keep turning the issue over in my head every 6-12 months but I keep coming full circle back to where I am… sitting in a Company Truck… with a Good Company that takes pretty good care of both the Driver and their Truck.

But, in another six months, I’ll be eyeing it once again… LOL

I’ve been wondering about those. I’m with AT&T, do they get signal at the kingman peelot of flying j? Couple ts I don’t get signal most of the day. But once off property it magically comes back.
