In our case we get 415 pounds. Our sleeper trucks use ThermoKing Tripac Evolution APUs.
However, based on what I’m reading on the documentation the rules were revised, increasing the federal weight exemption from 400 pounds to 550 pounds for APUs.

did you read the full post. My lawyer disagrees, and sees a firm case against them.

Good thing you didn’t work for Swift or JB Hunt back in the day with trucks governed at 55. Many of us did however, and we did just fine.

It is stupid for a trainer to be telling you to log sleeper breaks as off duty. Lots of guys on here will argue against that but it's an easy, avoidable ticket for falsification from the first DOT officer that wants to see your hotel receipt. I never understood why some drivers couldn't wrap their head around logging a rest break in the sleeper not off duty, makes no sense.

I made the mistake of working for them Many years ago.
I have to seek medical attention for migraine headaches or something. I don't remember what the circumstances were.
I called off sick to see a doctor and the doctor prescribed a certain medication. And the safety department told me I was ineligible to drive as long as I was using that medication and they canceled my medical insurance and told me I wasn't eligible for the FMLA And they told me I no longer had a job and that I could reapply
    In the future.

    Knucklehead and iOwnASubwoofer Thank this.

When I started at Schneider in 1990 we were 55, plus we had to run U.S.6 through Indiana and I think 30 in Ohio. no toll roads and lots of towns to go through, I survived because that's all I knew. then I went to W&A 70+ MPH trucks and turnpikes I thought I died and went to Heaven LOL.
