Ordering Domino's for the 3rd day straight. There's nothing close by to walk to unless I want to walk a mile to McDonald's, which isn't happening

 

Well I got a little bit of good news at least. That other driver is bobtailing to Craig, and the trailer to Loveland was left here. Plan is for them to pick me up in the morning, grab that trailer to run it to Loveland, then pick up another load going to Crete, then to Fremont. The plan is to utilize both our clocks to get to Fremont tomorrow, basically team driving for a day

Delivered my two stop Menards load of rolled carpet. Sullivan yesterday and Shell Rock this morning. From there headed down to fort dodge for some dog food for Lincoln. The load delivers tomorrow, I dropped it this afternoon.

Got to Fremont and did a Walmart run and loaded up my flatbed gear for a load to Riverside tomorrow.

 

Dang. Things can go sideways so very quickly. Glad both are unharmed.

I’d be looking at an unplanned vacation, rent a vehicle that would hold most my daily need items and inform Fremont “I’ll see you in a week” … and mosey my way and enjoy the view. Stop at different places along the way, then eventually go back to work.

Yes because who knows how long his truck will take to fix plus a ride back there to pick it up.

 

I do a miniature version of that when I take a 34 on the road. Rent a car....disappear. Drop the car off, get some good sleep, roll on to the next restart. I don't care how good the truck stop is... I am getting the hell away from it for 24... MINIMUM.

 

When I was leased to Tralo and would stay out longer I’d always plan my 34’s where I could get a room and get out of the truck.
