Maybe that’s the cost of working at a mega carrier. If you would have done all that at another company it would have had a different ending. Maybe not, but either way that’s a company YOU chose to work for. If you think you are treated unfairly you are free to move to another carrier that better suits you.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

You know unions don't force you to stay at a company, right? You can still quit and go somewhere else at will.

You're right, it might have worked out differently if I worked for MidwestTrucker and did the same things, but at the time I made significantly more than what he was offering.

And yes, I am free to move to a different position, company, or career. Or I'm free to organize my fellow workers to insist on a pay raise. Either way I'm making an effort to get paid what I think I'm worth.

But pretending that companies are not engaged in collective action against workers is disingenuous. Denigrating workers for using the same tactics the gentry use against against them is fatuous.

Let me know how trying to organize at SNI works for you. Wish you luck though. Or you could strike out on your own and become the gentry and get paid what you think you’re worth. Or continue to work for “the man” and complain that you aren’t paid what you are worth.

But blaming corporate executives and being envious of them seems a lot like a victim mentality.

Oh, I left a bit ago. But different shovel, same . . .

As to blaming corporate executives. 12 years ago an executive told me that all positions at a company have a pay range and if you want to make more, move up. That person went from EVP to the CEO, so fair play to him, he deserves a raise - maybe not 20% more than the previous CEO, or the 100% over the last 3 years, but something. The real problem is the role he occupied at the time is paying 2.5 times what it did when he occupied it. People are saying companies can't afford these pay raises the unions are demanding - whether it's UPS, or the ports, or Boeing, or someone else - but ignoring the massive raises on the other end of the company.

You want to break the unions once and for all - treat workers with respect and pay decent wages.

My Pixel doesn't have screen share and all the apps I have downloaded all require your phone and smart tv be connected to the same WiFi network as if you're using a router. My tablet is a PITA to connect to a tv to screen share and is very unstable (randomly loses picture but transmits the sound, or the sound is out of sync with the screen). I just paid this phone off so buying another one isn't in the cards right now. Maybe I'll just break out my old blueray player and start watching the hundreds of old dvd and blueray movies I have at home.

Friend, Oxbow and gentleroger Thank this.

Who decides what a decent wage is?

Probably the same people who decide when you’re rich enough.
