How do I override idle shutdown on a 2018 International?

Not really Ive worked for several companies that do not use idle timers. Such as IWX or recently Legend, as far as a coast to coast company. But, bottom line if you dont like the way a company choose to setup the tractors maybe it's time to move on.

 

Well, I have a 2016 Volvo VNL now that I can idle.. but also has an APU.
While I do use the APU when I can, it does malfunction sometimes. (for example, its pretty much a dice roll on whenever the APU keeps my batteries charged or not.)
In those instances, it is nice to have the option to idle.. I am just giving my experiences with my trainers truck.

I have a 2019 LT I'm going to get a hair dryer and hit the sensor with hot ai . I'm in Massachusetts today and its 70 degree .
From Texas so wont need the hair dryer much but for these cases would come in handy

 

When I had that problem working for someone else I'd wrap sensor with a heating pad instant idle

 

Well, nine minutes from now I'll know if you're a hero. The dash say Engine Throttle, which is new. So, thank you for a solution that did something different. 7 more minutes.

 

I hope it worked for you: it always did for me... when I had my prostar.... nobody above believed me it works: I guess because I have boobs! Lol
