The sticker used to use different verbiage - like “Oh, see how easy this is? Come work for us! “

It blows my mind that anyone would ask this. I'm not knocking the OP for asking the question but it's pretty simple to me. I bought it. I own it. If I want to do something like drive it to dinner or take it to get it washed on the weekend I'm PC'ing. I'm not asking, I'm not putting in anything in the subject line. If it comes up later I'll say what I was doing, or I won't.

I've had several inspections and never been asked about PC, probably because I don't abuse it.

There are plenty of laws, they didn’t change any. Your asking can you go wash your truck on off duty? Sure. If your saying can go to off duty when I’m out of hours and just drive home? Not hardly

Werner was the only company when I started driving.

I think they started in 99.

All I’m saying is sometimes you really want that burger that’s an hour towards the receiver.

They were forced onto them back in the day, same as JBS Carriers was. Electronic logs or no more operating authority were the choices given them by the government.

Doesn't matter who buys or who owns it. If you are having work performed on the truck (and washing is apparently work to the DOT) then getting there must be done on duty. I actually did a 34 at a truck stop with a streakin beacon across the street. I called and got exclusive permission from safety to PC across the street to get the truck washed. I knew it was wrong but I like a clean truck. I also threw that hot potato in someone else's lap.

That being said, PC is the biggest cluster I've ever seen. Nobody seems to agree on anything.
