Haven’t seen a reply yet so here’s my story. Working for R&L I was on east side of Cleveland. A pickup came out of no where and started royally messing with me. Brake check, slow roll etc . Kept me from making a turn I needed. Light industrial/ retail area. I knew the area. Closest place to turn around was literally 1 mile down the road. Pickup turns off, it takes me ten minutes to get through multiple traffic lights , turned around and back to where I needed to be. Pickup is sitting in a McDonald’s and pulls into turn lane in front of me. Now mind you this guy came out of nowhere and nothing preceded this incident. I figure he was just mad at R&L in general or mistook me for another bald headed heavyset R&L driver. So now he’s in front of me in a dedicated left turn lane, traffic is backing up. Light goes green, HE SITS STILL! Does it again on next arrow. Third time I get out of the truck. I told him exactly what I thought of him but never THREATENED him, my parting statement was “ you set your dumb ### there as long as you want, I’m paid hourly!” and got back in the truck. He finally moves and I go on about my way. So I get back to yard and of course he called in and without even HEARING OR ASKING my side they give me three days off! This was Thursday and you guessed it my suspension days are Friday Monday and Tuesday! Now two weeks prior to this I had requested Friday and Monday off and was told no because they had too many people off for hunting season! So I got the days off, they called Monday and said I could come back Wednesday I told them I’d think about it as I had two interviews set up Tuesday and depending on those I’d let them know. I ended up going back and they said the reason I got suspended was because I got out of the truck. Now as I said I never threatened the guy and he videotaped the whole thing that he gave to the company which confirmed I didn’t threaten him. They have me on video commenting forcefully about his heritage, his IQ level, the exact species of his mother , etc, etc. R&L said they were “concerned about my safety and getting out of the truck jeopardized my safety and that was grounds for suspension. They may be right. Don’t know don’t care I was just salty they never even ASKED for my side of it. We’ll I figured up how many hours I lost which was about 33-34 hours based on my average day then. I divided 33.5 by .25 and made a little grid of 134 boxes and over the next few months when the mood struck me I’d take a little longer break here and there sometimes during the day or the end or maybe in the yard at the end of the day and I’d check off the appropriate number of boxes. After about 4 months I’d crossed off all of them and threw the paper in the trash with a satisfied grin knowing I’d got the time off I had originally requested and all my pay back. I left altogether about 2.5 years after that

Its easy to burn thru the availabl;e driving postions in some areas, You kind of have to Paint Swift, England, Snieder with the same brush, a few diferences, like the orange trucks push the sleep machine, although I do believe they cover the costs.... Just check the deepth of the water before jumping off the bridge.
I myself just went back to Heartlamd Ex, I already know the dispatcher and the loads I willbe running there Southwest GP. Been there done that not too bad.

Amazing. Not sure if I would have gotten out of the truck but who wants to sit and wait for some crybaby to move his parked truck from the turn lane. Some people make me angry. Hey glad you got your money back some way . I’m sure your body didn’t mind taking a few extra minutes regularly. Probably saved you on some future health expenses as well. I saw a blue truck at the SNI yard bobtailing around yesterday and I immediately thought it was you . But it wasn’t….

I need a Vegas address so I can claim residency. If it was as easy as South Dakota I would definitely choose Nevada. I already asked SNi and they said I can switch jobs internally after 90 days, and I regularly check the job postings in Vegas. They always have some of the highest paying .

Food for thought. So far SNI is a big step up, not lateral. But I haven’t done any work or gotten a pay check yet so time will tell.
