It’s the Monday after thanksgiving, probably the second slowest day of the year right after the day after Christmas. Most of our customers ship everything thing they can the week leading up to thanksgiving.

Big L. Wylie doesn’t do anything like this as far as I know. They could probably broker us a load of plastic pipe if I was really desperate. All this sitting is no big deal. Most likely I’ll get a detention day for yesterday and my full day rate for today.

I don’t care what day of the year it is. 3 days without a load is nonsense. I’d put it in the wind and apply elsewhere. Don’t waste my time making garbage money via layover pay.

On the east coast, especially the southern east coast, I don't see nearly as much of our regular customers as I use to. I get out east, I deal with more broker freight than our regular customers freight. In this area, there is a port, military and Boeing freight. I have seen a bunch of the 1st 2 moving thru this truckstop. We used to haul a lot more recession proof Boeing freight, but since the Wylie partnership, we haul table scraps. According to a member of management in Arlington, they have purposely reduced their dependence on the large percentage of Boeing freight being our primary source of revenue which wouldn't be bad if they had replaced it with other regular customers, but what I am seeing is that it's being replaced by broker freight.

I’m glad you can find some rationalization for it, I’d still be headed for the house. I couldn’t find that level of patience no matter the circumstance or time of year, kudos to yall for being able to do so though.

Another reason to get out of open deck. Door slamming freight delivers 7 days a week.
