    That I understand. I’m not against immigration. But they have contributed fully to the lack of quality drivers coming into the industry the past few years and it’s blatantly obvious.

    Here, the official US government website with all the data. You can find all the employers who employ H2B truck drivers. Show me a trucking company and how many people they employ. I could not even count couple hundred people who possibly can be OTR drivers
    H-2B Employer Data Hub

    Click on industry, select Transportation and Warehousing, click apply and you will see all the Data

    So it's a disgrace that places around the country are adapting to a changing population that's becoming more diverse? There's a large number of immigrants that come here already knowing how to speak English, and even if they didn't, they learn it faster than any of us could learn their language. Just the trucking propaganda has drivers believing that every foreigner doesn't speak English. The fact that you think that signs in multiple languages is a disgrace, man......that's bothersome and elitist.

    I don't think it's a disgrace at all . Just think I shouldn't be needed. English is the language we speak in America, and I believe anybody working in logistics should know to speak it... the amount of customers I go to here in the southwest where not 1 of the workers speak a lick of English, then look at me like the bad guy because I can't understand them... i think they forget what country they live in

    no what the problem is is certain people in society don’t mind people coming over here and not as simulating with the population you know, like learning English and abiding by the laws… Frankly, everyone of these people that are breaking the law should be gone, and the ones who are turned around and assisting them and breaking the law should be behind bars, plain as simple… It’s nothing elitist about it… Some folks just have absolutely zero clue

    American drivers have too.....that's blatantly obvious. You can't put that solely on foreigners, that's all I'm saying. The lack of quality drivers is not the immigrants' faults. You need to point your anger towards a broken system. As I alluded to earlier, it takes nothing to get into the trucking industry. It's too easy to be an owner operator, it's too easy to get a CDL. There are still an overwhelming majority of American born drivers. The immigrants are the smallest of problems. If you want to tall about poor quality of drivers, let's talk about how it's a money game to push these new drivers through CDL schools. Does/Has the government not give mega companies funding to have company sponsored training? What about training? You go through CDL school for 3 weeks, then out with a trainer for 1 month...7 weeks total. Also, what if your trainer is only doing it for the money? Some of those trainers haven't even been in the game long enough to be trainers in my opinion. I've seen guys work as trainers without even a year's worth of experience. Others haven't even been out here 5 years. Luckily for me, when I started, my trainer was 16 years in the game. Also, you got unsafe American born drivers too, need for speed, road rage, poor mental capacity for trucking. So yeah, you want to put this solely on immigrants, well.....you could get them out of the game completely, and all of those problems I just laid out, they'll still be plaguing the industry. Immigrants are the smallest fraction of the reason as to why there are poor quality drivers.

    Who's breaking what laws? They ultimately do assimilate. OK so some of them don't learn English as fast as YOU would like. Your anger is misplaced. If an avenue is provided for them to get here, you should look at the ones providing the avenue. I have no problem with the immigrants. They don't bother me at all. I don't know why it pisses people off so bad that some of them want to come here and work, yet the country was founded and expanded upon the exact same way, except probably way more violently.

    The southwest may be American territory but the demographic is what drives those types of rituals. It's the same thing when I go down to Laredo. Its basically all Hispanics in those spots so yeah, to some degree they have to get pandered to. Times are changing. English may be the official language, but it is no longer the only language. Sometimes I'm not so sure that it ever was. The country is getting more diverse. Hispanics and Asians at one point were among the fastest growing minorities, now it appears to be those of Middle Eastern descent. I like that they have different languages available at some of these shippers.

    foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary nonagricultural jobs. The employment must be of a temporary nature for a limited time, such as a one-time occurrence, seasonal, peak load need, or intermittent need.

    @DUNE-T

    This is what I came in on. It's exploited.

    I worked for a reefer company - on an H2B visa.

    It's a lie.
