@High Stepper , and @Espressolane - it's high time you embraced the glory of this 'non-Stouffers' lasagna.

Now wait - I'm gonna hide behind mama's apron here, as @BlairsMum is responsible for the lifelong addiction to this dish.

My parents both worked full time, and my 2 older siblings and I cooked meals occasionally. the lasagna was a 'Maggi cookbook' recipe that I learned, that could be on the table when dinner was to be eaten. I don't remember how old I was, 8-9 or so at the time.

I could always call Mum if I had any questions , on the good old rotary phone, when she was at work.

And over the years, it's one of my favorites. I cooked it in an old 1900's wood fired stove/oven/cooktop at my first house, and my bride says it is one of the reasons she married me.

And unlike tire inflation devices, it is always appreciated, always satisfies, and is never thrown in the trash.
