When you enter your license number..uppercase letters and numbers only..no spaces.
I’m from Florida and we have long license numbers and about 4 dashes.. I exclude the dashes.

My thoughts are that there’s a pesky data entry point that is causing you problems..

I don’t normally have a short fuse, but when others are incompetent and they have the ability to affect my paycheck, it’s pretty much on then. I’m on the verge of losing my house and my car and it just seems like they’re dragging their feet. I normally have the patience of Job, but in this case when I’m told 10 days and it’s been longer than 10 then I get a little red faced and the old blood pressure goes through the roof. Doesn’t do me any good huh? Guess I might as well sit back, relax and try to figure out what else I can sell in order to make a house payment and a car payment. I’ve already sold off everything worth anything, even my wedding ring.

1 upper case letter and 9 numbers in Mo. I didn’t put in any dashes or spaces. I think you’re right, just need to wait and see and keep trying.

Just curious..has Schneider tried running a query on you in the clearinghouse?

Blows when this crap happens but hang in there it’ll get straightened out. Just have to delay starting with Schneider so don’t give up.

    Try entering it like this…

    US-MO-(your license #) no spaces
That’s actually how it’ll appear on queries

Now back to the original topic....

If you hire on later with Schneider...doing dry van duty....you will be asked to climb up into trailers....& sweep/clean them out.

Not ALL the time -- but it will happen.

I wish I had $100 for every time I was down on my knees inside a Schneider trailer....covering up a hole (or holes) with duct tape....getting that trailer ready for an inspection at my next pickup.

If your knees aren't really ready for the above examples -- you might wanna consider looking at other freight.

With tankers -- it's someone else's problem to clean out that trailer. :D

    Also, with tankers:
    • they are easier to backup & park
    • no trailer "tailswing" to deal with
    • no tandem sliding (your knees will thank you here -- again)
    • much better reception/treatment at shippers & receivers (& no lumpers!)
    • MUCH more stability in strong crosswinds
    • better visibility to the rear
As a general rule -- food grade tankers are not a favorite target for DOT inspections -- especially if you are running with a fleet that already has good safety scores.

That tanker experience would set you up for later high-paying jobs in the tanker world (other threads here on the Forum discuss those, in some detail). Some high-paying tanker gigs would have you home DAILY.

You probably would make more money starting out with WDT....vs Schneider, as well.

    Think about it....

Nothing shows up so far. I’m hoping it gets cleared up this coming week so I can get to W. Memphis next weekend.

I’ve got degenerative joint disease in my knees and hips. I ruptured the bursa in both my knees when I worked on the top of buildings doing sheet metal work. Without a verified CDL through the clearinghouse getting a driving job is going to be impossible since carriers are required to go through it to hire drivers. I’ve got a very light aluminum ladder that I could use to get in a trailer. The best part is that it’s very small. I don’t want to sound like I’m ungrateful for your advice because I’m not. I’m very grateful for your advice and help and I want you to know how much I appreciate your input and insight. Thank you!!

main thing is get in a routine, when doing your pretrip, or when hooking and dropping trailers. routine routine, routine that way you know you didn't miss anything. after you hook to a trailer duck under there and visually make sure those jaws are locked around the kingpin after your tug tests, Take your time when backing and manuvering even when billy big rigger is blowing his horn because you're backing in is stopping him from getting to the front spot so his 400 lbs ### can get inside 5 seconds sooner.
