The sad thing is you see folks every day not even running the entire merge lane out, getting over at a speed far lower than the posted speed for the interstate, some of them even crossing the double solid white lines right in front of the cops and they do nothing. But let a big rig do a simple lane change as a courtesy and he gets a ticket?

I remember in trucking School we got on the subject of California. There were three instructors in the room at the time we were having the conversation and all three of them claimed that the only citations they ever got during their 30 to 50 year trucking careers were in California. And you better believe with these wildfires they’ve had over there California is extremely short on money. And they undoubtedly view the trucking industry as a source of income for the state. Just something to think about.

Ticket for "unnecessary lane change?" Since when is it up to the cop to decide what is necessary and what isn't?
That would be one ticket I would have showed up for in court if I had to drive across the country to do it. -
