What are u guys doing to piss them off. Every single Chp officer I've ever talked with was cool as hell.. some of the inspectors at the scalehouses are blowhards that have all the ego of a cop but no badge or authority. They like to push their weight But thats just part for the course of dot inspectors... I write it off to them having to deal with the towel heads all day and guys that don't speak no English

It’s California. It’s a crime to fart in the wrong person’s general direction from 10 miles away.

That doesn’t matter, what matters is did you fight the ticket because that ticket should never have been written in the first place and it sounds like the law is flawed.

The sad thing is you see folks every day not even running the entire merge lane out, getting over at a speed far lower than the posted speed for the interstate, some of them even crossing the double solid white lines right in front of the cops and they do nothing. But let a big rig do a simple lane change as a courtesy and he gets a ticket?

I remember in trucking School we got on the subject of California. There were three instructors in the room at the time we were having the conversation and all three of them claimed that the only citations they ever got during their 30 to 50 year trucking careers were in California. And you better believe with these wildfires they’ve had over there California is extremely short on money. And they undoubtedly view the trucking industry as a source of income for the state. Just something to think about.

Ticket for "unnecessary lane change?" Since when is it up to the cop to decide what is necessary and what isn't?

That would be one ticket I would have showed up for in court if I had to drive across the country to do it.

CA needs a fence around it and 11.9 earthquake, mud slides, wildfires, asteroid impact, & ebola outbreak. Burn baby burn!
