Don’t seem like I walked 5 miles yesterday. 13,200 steps equivalent. I guess it pays to visit amusement parks. Downfall, eating the junk food while doing it.

Not to presume to make light of Dale’s loss of course, but a pet is not to be underestimated, IMHO. With the misses and I and now the cat, I almost feel like a family man again.

So you never did any balls to the wall runs when you were trucking?

I had a week where I turned Fremont Ohio to a place a little east of Omaha that I turned 3 times in a six day period it was like 650 miles. Granted it was drop and hook on either end and my parking spot at the time at home had fuel right there so combing drop and hook and the fueling into 15 minutes of pre and post trip and being able to sleep at the switch point made it unusual but I logged 69.75 hours and about 650 a day. Put me right at 3900 on an ELD. I hit the flustercuck of 80 near Chicago at about 0200-0300 each day so that helped. No construction and weather was good. We were moving a warehouse for our own company and my truck was governed at 71. So out west with a high stepping large car who knows?

newport, ar- Jonesboro to load, Norwood, Mo exempt(don’t count on logs) Norwood to Aurora ne, 502 miles. First load rejected, so showed as if it came from Nebraska, took it back to ar. Exempt to rock wood, Mo, get a 4-5 hour nap at rest area. Drive back, unload thatvreject, reload same place in ar, straight back to Nebraska getting there at 1 am unloaded at 530, had to wait to get hours. 11 headed back, Norwood exempted down, reload, time back to Norwood driving/loading I had a 10 hour (break since it was all off duty time) straight back. Did that all week, rest was DH empty back. Made it back to Jonesboro yesterday at noon, loaded again for Nebraska for Monday night drop
