When you said you had that many miles by last night, I thought I misremembered the pay period. I ended up with 3313 miles for this week, and 8500 for the month. Which isn't bad for a month I didn't start until the 6th, and had 48 total hours at home loading gear and getting a new bank account set up since they don't do Chime accounts anymore.

 

Unload went better than the reviews said. Load info said don't show more than 2 hours early, so I got there at 00:15 for an 02:00 appointment only to be told that they don't open the gates to the staging area until 1:30 (the 2 hours early is for later appointments, if you're appointment is in the 1st time slot, it's 30 min early). Unload time wasn't bad...it would have been better if the brain damaged ape driving the truck would have opened BOTH doors of the trailer. Not sure at what point my brain took a nap but I opened one door, took out my load locks, released my slide pins and slid my tandems, then just backed in...there was another driver waiting to back in and I was blocking his path to line up. Then after I got empty, my next load doesn't live load until 19:00, and it's only 40 miles away (and only 7 miles from the Love's and Flying J in Lodi, so I will get a full break in before loading. It's another 2300 mile load, and a drop at the other end, so I can bust tail and get it there early if I want.

It was snowing and blowing coming over Donner last night. Nothing sticking but the temps were hovering around freezing so it wouldn't take much to stick, and they were sanding the crap out of it, so my truck and trailer looks like my old SPD truck did after an elevator load delivery at a job site.
