Kid had me digging through basement. Found some Micro Machines. Copy right 1987. Looks like my problems started at a young age.

the cheaper alloy cymbals don’t wear out, what generally happens is after constant play, they will develop cracks and split. another issue is the hole where it mounts to the cymbal stand will key-hole as well, and that’ll make the bell of the cymbal sound off and will eventually crack as well. Higher quality cymbals stand up better but at a much higher cost.

Yup. The cheap ones you can crack and split with enough use.

Nylon bushings in the bell hole help to save them from wallowing out.
