IH 195, rebuilt complete, power( fan to fail light) all rubber new and paint. Garrards #12. 450 engine, 5 OD,1 speed, 20" tires.
Say from Haines City, FL to Minneapolis, MN, toting 400 boxes oranges/grapefruit (36K) might add a quart of Esso #5 on way to Grand Forks.
The V195 #33 I got new maybe a quart between changes. Think they changed at 5K. Carried 2 qts under the seat, usually 1 left after a trip.

 

To clarify my other reply. Our trucks did not leak, engine oil, trans or rears. Nor tire trouble. Mr Garrard gave you good equipment to make him and you money. He billed a $.35 a loaded mile and paid us $.05 a loaded mile. (8/55 to 10/57) I can only recall 1 road call for a tire in that time.
On a run from N. Lebanon, OH to Vera Cruz. Mexico, we had 1 flat on one of the tractors, (pic shown) somewhere between San Luis Potosi and Monterey coming back...Jake hustling the jack, Davis Hartnes; Shop foreman, standing on bumper supervising, and bunch of drivers observing.
