Hope someone can tell me if they know why when I replace my TPS sensor i have no Jake’s! I put the old sensor back on and bam. Jake’s will work again but, idles rough and loses power. I put the new sensor and truck pulls like I’ve never felt before. I mean seriously I probably been running it in limp mode since I’ve owned it. I just have no Jake’s on all 3 stages. Cruise control works fine and idles beautifully. Also all my gauges are reading fine but old tps= Jake’s will come on, oil temp surges. New sensor= reading 180-200 oil temp, steady idle, No Jake’s. I’m bamboozled at this point. Anybody had a similar problem?

TPS counts are probably not at zero, or throttle % not at zero, with the new sensor.
Basically the ECM is seeing it as your foot is still on the throttle.
Is it the correct part#?AModelCat, Oxbow and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Memory is a little fuzzy, But I seem to remember having to calibrate a new TPS on an N14

Key on, depress pedal 3 times to the floor. If I recall. As others said it's just not reading zero as input.
Big Road Skateboard, Oxbow, Alan50 and 3 others Thank this.
