Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

To be honest, they probably can't afford them either... they're just keeping up with the Jones, no matter how far in debt they have to go.

 

I wonder why Lincoln does the stuff they do. This morning, I rolled out about 15-20 minutes after my 10 was done and my pre trip was complete. Within 3 miles of hitting the interstate, they send me a preplan...really? You couldn't have sent it to me 5 minutes ago when I was sitting still? This happens a lot. They ended up having to wait until I stopped at a location of my choice (when I stopped to top off the reefer before dropping it). The load I am on now is Quincy, MI to Quakertown PA for tomorrow, then the preplan is for NJ back to Morris, IL (914 mi with the deadhead) for TUESDAY. (I am guessing the holiday has something to do with the later appointment). However, with the #### miles I have been getting, and the indecision about ditching my dispatcher, I won't hesitate idling this sucker for my 2nd 34 in 8 days. Maybe a high idle percentage will get Deland's attention, then I can basically tell them better miles equals lower idle time. I've tried to do everything in my power to be more productive...if they don't like it then I know right where to park it... crossways in Deland's driveway.

 

It's about to escalate to





They waited until 16:45 on a Friday to cancel the preplan. They claim the load didn't get unloaded off the ship...the VP dynamic duo just said on last weeks propaganda video the trade war wouldn't effect us because we don't do imports...now my load is cancelled because it didn't get off the boat in time. If they make me spend the entire holiday weekend sitting, this truck might be sitting in Mechanicsburg and I might be sitting on a grayhound to the house.
