Just finished listening to the interview while enjoying my morning coffee at home. Very much enjoyed listening to him, although some of his terminology had me buffalo’d as kinfolk use to say, I could build a mental picture of the whole conversation. Very well done, I truly enjoyed it…!!

Growing up on the drilling rigs I could sure understand the frustration of knowing a hammer was laying on the bottom of the well lol. Uncle Lester made his own magnet to retrieve smaller tools out of a well for the “do it yourself” customer that made the fatal boo boo of dropping a pipe wrench down the well.

He used an old window weight from a house they tore down, and some small phone wire he separated from the protective sheathe that housed 4 or 5 wires, only needed 2 of course. When he completed it the window weight was about 3 1/2” in diameter. Only had a 150’ tail of wire so anything over 140’ down had to add a section on…..

First time I heard that on NPR over here, Click and Clack, the tappet brothers, I wondered the same. Could be pure coincidence too.

Gobbledegook - origin is American, similar to the sound a turkey might make.

To describe language that is abstractly technical in nature and needlessly confusing for the average person.

Traffic - boy, what a day - these idiots, I tell ya

This first guy here, in this "Jet Blue" whatever, 7 digit slap on magnet DOT number guy - just decides to stop traffic while he leisurely strolls across the intersection unannounced.

Check THIS douche out - really thinks he's gonna pass ME on the right with THAT underpowered piece of junk.

Memorial Day I was headed towards Atlanta - now I'm in Portia, AR almost back at the house :(

If we weren't ships in the night, we'd be a pair of Titanic's.
