That works out to well over six figures for the year. Is that typical?

It should still put him comfortably into the "6 Figures Club". And yes, that is typical for mega guys at the top of the pay scale.

A little better, but not record setting. Emptied out Thursday night before midnite, had to wait until 0100 Saturday morning for a load of chicken out of Silar City, NC going to Pasadena, TX, Dallas and Ft. Worth for Monday. With the day of waiting, 1500 miles in 4 days, in other words, 375 miles a day instead of the 3-325 I have been averaging. Then, before I got empty, I got a decent run from Dallas to Wellston, OH. P/U 1st thing Tuesday, deliver any time on Thursday, Juneteenth. The way I have it planned, I will be ready for a load right back out of there 1st thing Thursday morning if there is anything coming out of there that's ready.

Found a malcontent way of answering the daily calls on Tyson loads. When they ask if I am gonna be on time, I just say "I dunno, we'll see when I get there. I iz gist a stoopid truk dreyever, you tell me if I am gonna make it on time...or ask your boss what they think, seeing as though they think we're so ignorant that we have to have cubicle dwelling desk drivers reminded to do everything but breathe and wipe ourselves"...then hang up.

And I spent the night at Wilmer last night. Not impressed. The north lot, 1/2 the parking spots are blind side like a Petro, the fuel island has no lights for night time fueling(if we're even allowed to fuel at night without adult supervision), the fuel island bathroom has 0 paper (like an SPD bathroom), the bathroom in the main building already has one crapper out of order, and the sink's faucet sensors are way out of adjustment. You have to wave your hands like a spastic mime to get a 1 second spurt of water. Huge waste of money that could have gone to better equipment or a few pennies more per mile.

The deal with Tyson is because certain drivers don’t know how to deliver on time and Tyson has threatened to remove lanes. If not the entire contract… This is what I had a discussion with operations on with that load from Washington to Michigan. Was that just because others can’t do their job doesn’t mean I don’t know how to & they should go after the ones who are doing the screw ups and what not..

Well I delivered to restaurant Depot last night in Houston and I noticed marten transport has dedicated out of there so I talked to a couple of their drivers last night and the second one I talked to said they’re getting ready to lose the account and after talking to him a little bit more I can see why they’re losing the account. Marten has the guaranteed minimum pay on that account of $1250 a week so the drivers are only doing enough to make the minimum and not go over it and the guy said he runs 1200 to 1500 miles a week and that’s generally what most of them do. They’re only do three loads a week… He stated that there’s no sense in trying to make over the minimum… No wonder they’re losing the account to Bay and Bay they got drivers that don’t wanna work and I guess the customer’s had enough of it

I don't think I've ever asked, nor have I ever seen you comment on it - Do you have a preference for what shift you like driving/sleeping? Do you prefer driving nights or days? If you had a choice, what hours would you sleep everyday?

Also, at your age, how does your body do with flipping sleep schedules like reefer often requires? Do you think it's taken a toll on your body or are you used to it?
