my brief time with Crete convinced me they don’t want hard runners anymore. I think most megas are wanting cruisers more than runners. Cheaper in the long run I guess

I sure wish they ran me lol. I sincerely tried. I wanted miles. But I guess I lost the AM lottery because they left me high and dry a lot

Aw man, why didn’t I think of doing that? Lol. Glad it worked out for you! Maybe I need to do that with my current company. Things were great, now it’s really slow. And I think they’ve been shorting me on my deadhead miles.

Some days I do think about giving Hunt a try but I don’t have any flatbed experience. Not sure if they even require it though

I miss hauling equipment, but I don't miss schlepping tarps, even as little tarping as Hunt drivers have to do.

They said hunt is going away from tarps and only will have less than 10% of their frieght base as such..focus on machinery and agriculture equipment

Still, 10% is more that I want to do at this age. I would love to pull Ag and equipment again, even OD occasionally, but they can have the tarps.

The USCS in Minooka uses that Vector system... unfortunately I didn't realize it until I had already used my phone and the QR code to check in(which takes you to a website since I don't have a Vector app on my personal equipment), drop, hook and check out. The tablet didn't automatically detect my location. After I got in and dropped, I realized that it hadn't showed my arrival at consignee, so when I did it manually, it pulled up the Vector app and wanted me to enter the same info as I did on my phone. And, since I didn't use the tablet, I got no signed b/l, so the guard had to stamp it received.

Also, my Drivewyze decided to shut itself off again. It was working yesterday, didn't work today. But, the scales on I-80 W coming out of the Chicagoland area were closed, so no harm, no foul-just annoying.
