I don't remember seeing it earlier but did you check their SMS and Safer data?

Don't ask, look for yourself. Asking that question might make the owner think you're looking for trouble.
The DOT number is on the truck, usually on the doors & on the paperwork inside the truck.

Like China said, get it off the truck. Don't even ask for it.

It looks like they have an ad up for a local job hauling pipe and block. There's an online application link. I clicked it and it says the company name is, "Studog Corp".

I tried looking that name up on Safer and there is no record of that carrier. I also find it odd they're asking for a SSN on an online applicant but they're not listed as a carrier.

You can look up any carrier on Saferweb...

    SAFER Web - Company Snapshot

I highly recommend you do so for any driving job you're contemplating applying to. You must do your own background just like they're checking yours. Be sure to thoroughly inspect their SMS as well.

Once you have more experience you'll be interviewing them but they'll think they're the ones doing to interview.
