@supersnackbar I think the big issue that you’re having is that your regular asset manager is never hardly there so you’re basically basically being bounced to around different asset managers that are covering for her which she’s not there and my experience with my guy is not there is that when handling your asset managers board of times they don’t care because it’s not their regular drivers… I’m just saying based on experience and I think that’s where the problem resides that you really need to bring up to higher management and have that addressed… If you had a regular asset manager, that was there daily, they would know you’re running habits, and I think it would actually be better is the Point that I’m trying to make…

Not really sure, but years ago when the asset manager system started it was around 40-50

The problem probably isn't the dispatcher but more to do with the overall economy. Be glad you're getting 2,300 miles a week. If they give you 3,000 every week then other drivers come up short. Gotta spread the work around it aint all about you. Everybody wants to run nobody likes sitting.

Simple solution...quit hiring, or at least slow down some, and quit hiring idiots. We have a bunch of drivers here that are content doing 3-350 a day. And they are constantly sending messages and reminding drivers on the weekly update about the recruiting bonus. Not to mention all the ads I see on YouTube recruiting drivers.

That recruitment bonus is probably why they're happy running 300 miles a day. Assuming the bonus is $12-1500 and they wrangle one newb per quarter that's a pretty nice bonus for little to no work.

You're at a company with 1,000's of trucks. The reason they constantly hire is because people are always quitting, getting fired, retiring, etc. If they freeze hiring all if a sudden they can't service the customers. It's a rock and a hard place.

Well, our VP's keep proclaiming on the weekly video update that our company miles are up Y-O-Y, so if that's true, they have hired too many and the freight pie is being cut into smaller pieces.

That's the time to slow hiring, but not freeze it entirely and be more selective on who they hire. Quality over quantity.
