Yes, it's usually offloaded with an overhead crane so they need the space to wrap their straps around it to lift. I've been to places that use forklifts too but the overhead is the most common.

The sales reps would know for sure for each account. I've had them load it wrong in the past. I've also refused to load in the past as well.

They don't allow you on your trailer so you have to try and block it after it's loaded which can be impossible depending on how lazy/sloppy the loader was.

You have to try and cinch it to move slide the bundles together. It's a nightmare. Nucor sucks for preaching safety this and safety that but have no problem with a carrier leaving their property with an unsecured load. They're hypocrites.

You just going to do the pop in with no notice? If so, that's a good idea. Surprise him.

When companies don’t put the name of the company on their ad would make me think twice and a generic picture of a truck even more.why would they search the internet for a truck picture when they have trucks in the yard

Or you could look at the $14 an hour for 2 weeks or so as just pure profit. Considering you don’t have any bills, no responsibilities, it seems perfect. $14 an hour is $14 more an hour than you’re making now. Let’s just calm down with running circles around new people. You’re still green, and let’s not get a big head because we have 9 months experience. Bite the bullet, bend over for 2 weeks, and then you’ll be fine.

The people who view changing jobs every few months as no big deal probably don’t take into account what it costs a company to bring on a new driver. If you have a person with 2 years at his last company and someone who stayed a few months at their last company who would you be likely to spend your money on to on board?

I’m not saying someone should stick around and be treated like dirt, but making rash decisions usually doesn’t pay off in the end, especially in a tight job market where carriers have their choice of who to hire.

If I were a new driver like the OP in this case I would swallow my pride and take the lower pay for a couple weeks of training just to get my foot in the door at a good company instead of banking on a shady carrier who is promising the moon. If this goes south then the OP will have three jobs in a short period of time and will be even more undesirable to all but the mega-ist of mega carriers than they are now.

It's a month with a trainer for less than minimum wage. Hahaha guess what I don't want to do it. So get over it. I'm sure it's great for D tibbs. But it's horrible for me. I have no interest in it at all. It's bad for me. I don't want it.

Yeah but that's their problem. I know what they say it costs. What it actually cost is almost nothing. A few hundred maybe. They manipulate that on paper into thousands. Ok yeah if I cause an accident it gets bad quick. But guess what. I'm a good driver. I don't cause accidents.
