You'll never guess why I didn't take this job off Craigslist

See looking back a few years, my big mistake was under estimating how low they could keep wages with all this inflation going on. I saw inflation coming a mile away, but I thought for sure wages would at least go up. Nope they're actually down, and dropping, while actual cost of living is up anywhere from 10-90% since 2019, depending on if you're Democrat or Republican.

I think it would be freight, requires doubles but no hazmat. Guys hiring out of terminals in Kansas Dallas and Houston with only 6 months starting at 85 cents teams. License from any state and come with out a team mate. But this is the same guy who tried to bring me in as a student last minute a few weeks back. I went thru the whole hiring process and then right before the job offer he switched it to 50 cents a mile, And now today he's not answering the phone so might not be something to count on. I'm not sure why he called last night after I ghosted him but man felt like serendipity

 

For good money I'd work my ### off and you guys wouldn't hear from for months at a time, but I can't find any money out here at all I less I have 2 years or want to run teams at FedEx
