Truck stopped on shoulder to fix his blah blah blah. You are required to use orange triangles if you are in the breakdown lane. Otherwise you are just another prick taking a break illegally and you are a hazard.

Yeah, you can walk back there to place triangles on the side of 91. Or any big city interstate for that matter..... i wont, i know better. Do you think triangles would have prevented the crash ?

As fast as that 4-wheeler was going in order to do that much damage, I seriously doubt it. Besides, they obviously weren't paying attention.

Maybe. I respect triangles and move over far in advance because I know the driver is actually having an emergency and is following the law. I know the 91, too. It's a mess especially afternoon eastbound. Drivers sit on the shoulder to take a chill.

I agree. And since it's Southern California I can't seem to feel sad for him, just being honest.

This was avoidable. If your truck is driveable you don't stop on the shoulder for any reason. Common sense.

As much as this happens in california , im amazed at how many drivers i see parked on the shoulder every single time im out there... I mean wrecks like these happen atleast once or twice a week out there... Dont know why anybody woukd out their safety at risk parking on the road.. unless your truck is completely incapacitated and wont move. A flat tire. #### you got 17 others! Theres a million ramps out there with plenty of room to pull off and call for road service. Your tire guy will thank you!

It also amazes me how many people incorrectly place triangles. There seems to be disconnect between the CDL test answer and how far they usually get placed behind the rig.

Yeah one goes on top of the bumper and then the other two about 10 ft behind the truck, right? Maybe all fallen over since a straight line doesn't act very stable.

Honestly crazy how dumb some drivers are.

That aside I cannot teleport the triangles to their positions so if my fix takes under 10 minutes I'm within the rules.

Walk Among Us and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
