Scenario: Snackbar is on a 34 reset. His driver manager calls him after 12 hours for a wellness check and Snackbar explains he's on a 34 reset. Snackbar is sleeping sometime around the 28 hour mark the night before his delivery the next day, when he gets a bang on his door from a cop doing a wellness check on him. Snackbar explains to the cop he's okay, and then Snackbar calls dispatch to let them have it.

I would pay an unfathomable amount of money in that scenario to get access to first the police body cam footage and second the audio of Snackbar's call to the office after his chat with the police, lmao.

I have never ever responded to that message and they have never done what you’re saying they do and they might do it for other people, but in my multiple stints with this company that has never happened to me

Its always been 12hrs, just it isn't enforced or whatever. I usually only get it from weekend ops. I've also found sending some random bs message resets the timer. I'll just send a fuel solution request or directions form right before bed if im going to be stopped for awhile. I've occasionally gotten a text message on my phone if I ignore the Peoplenet message. Don't think I've ever gotten an actual phone call though. I have gotten the Peoplenet message on hometime, though never a follow up. Weirdly its been several days into hometime sometimes though.

If I know one is pending,or I’m going to sleep, then I’ll just send a request for directions message.Resetting the timer.

One time I had a Knight dispatcher call me while I was asleep to ask if I was going to make my delivery in time. That was the only time it ever happened.

The last time I was here, I got a phone call once. But it was when COVID was much more deadly. Now that it's just another variant of the common cold, they need to abandon that wellness check bullcrap entirely.

Of course, it gives a malcontent like me the opportunity to send in a controversial message. Like "the brain damaged orangutan acknowledges the useless message from the nanny system". OR "I died 2 hours ago, let me rest in peace"

When I was a Cretin, they tried that once. Needless to say, there were a few emails sent to Deland about my offensive language that they got from me, before they were hung up on. When I got the call from Deland about it the next day, I told her that if they ever called me again in the middle of my sleep break, it would only get worse. I was assured that dispatch would never do it again.

Of course, knowing the lack of brain cells in some of our weekend crew, if I sent in the one about me having died 2 hours ago now, they would call an ambulance and the cops to retrieve my dead body.

Come on now. I think that’s giving them too much credit. Doing those things would require effort.
