Absolutely not the Maxxforce, Cummins. Starter went out earlier in the week, no road services want to change that starter in a parking lot. So had to get towed to the dealer.

I've never been to Bucees and don't plan to but Kwik Trip and Kwik Star are my favorites for great coffee.Friend and Knucklehead Thank this.

Quick Trip has upped their game with a new hot n cold coffee bar setup… like Beer Taps at a Bar… they are also doing something different in some Stores for their teas… more or less brewing regular and green, then adding flavors and sweeteners to taste… vs just brew up a couple gallons of each every time.
I like KT/KS for their doughnuts too… mmm
QT for their Order to Go sandwiches.
Seeing more Mavericks popping up…
they have new options for food and beverageLast edited: Nov 3, 2025

So I complained about a Lincoln to Moorestown, NJ load that didn’t have an appointment until 3pm today. It would have had me sitting all day today, with about 10 hours left before having to do a 34 anyway. Got switched to an Aurora to Victorville load. And of course, now sitting for 2+ hours anyways because they didn't bother to set up the next load. Not sure if it's just me or if anyone else is constantly having to wait for loads. I give them my eta or they have my appointment times to go off of.
Not sure who made a big fuss at the guard shack at K in Lincoln on Friday. The guard wasn't very happy. Somebody picked up a CA load and they thought they were supposed to be going to Texas. I thought we were supposed to check the bills in the back of the trailer and make sure trailer # and destination were correct before pulling the load?Friend, Knucklehead, Kolorado and 1 other person Thank this. -
Maverik bought Kum n Go a while back and are rebranding them to Maverik now.
Fun fact: Maverik is owned by FJ Management. FJ as in Flying J.Friend, MidWest_MacDaddy, hotrod1653 and 3 others Thank this. -
FJ Management is a separate company from Pilot Flying J and does not operate any Flying J truck stops.Knucklehead, rokue, MidWest_MacDaddy and 1 other person Thank this.

Looks awful flying j ish. They are what is left of the old flying J after the pilot merger, and run the refining, banks, and insurance businesses. They are in the process of divesting their remaining interest in PFJ as part of the Berkshire Hathaway buyout. Maverik was founded by the uncle of the founder of Flying J.

FJ Management is the Flying J part of Pilot Flying J. FJ Management, Pilot Corporation, and Berkshire Hathaway are all in on Pilot Flying J, the travel centers. They (FJ Management) also own Maverik. And the the old Flying J refinery in North Salt Lake is now Big West, also owned by FJ Management.Friend, Knucklehead and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

We're supposed to have a Maverik built here in my town apparently. Haven't seen any construction yet where it’s supposed to be

Matt almost always keeps me preplanned, usually several hours to a day in advance. I can definitely tell when he's out of the office and someone else is running his boardFriend, Knucklehead and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
